WPC – KYOTO – HOT TOPIC
HELP ME SPREAD THE NEWS BY SHARING!
Announce in social media that my abstract has been accepted to WPC POSTER! Tag the WPC with #wpc2019 (@WorldPDCongress)

I can’t believe that I am one of twelve, but I am and I have never in my dream thought that an abstracts from me, could have any chance to be published in an online scientific journal, never. Nor have I never dreamed to speak for 1.000 people, but I can do it!
It took me 5 1/2 year, lots of crazy things before I in November 2018 put all
the cards on the table. I had never told anyone how it really is with me and
Parkinson’s.
Never told my family, my neurology, my best friend, never told anyone. So, had
a second opinion in December 2018 and the medication got changed. I have
actually until now, lived very well with PD out of the system by taking my PD
into my own hands. I will still in the future try to keep me out of the system,
but I have to see.
Twelve scientific abstracts will be selected for “Hot Topics” and I am one of
twelve, which means an invitation to orally present my work one morning in the
large plenary hall before the morning plenary starts. This is an amazing
opportunity to present to up to 1,000 people, including many of the leaders in
the field.
Named after WPC founder and world-renowned Parkin sonologist, this award will
be given to ONE outstanding abstract author whose work is deemed innovative and
visionary. The selected person will be invited to present their work as part of
the Hot Topics and will receive a cash prize.
A limited number of abstracts will be selected to be part of a Poster Tour on
either Wednesday or Thursday evening during the Congress. These are in addition
to the period over lunch when authors are expected to host their poster. I will
get busy.
Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published in an online scientific
journal supplement that is on an open-access platform for maximum review.
A certificate of presentation will be sent by email after the close of the
Congress. This is super cool, top nice. Thank you #wpc2019
